Introduction

Asperger's Syndrome is a Pervasive Development Disorder.

There is some good information about AS on A.S.P.I.E. (a nickname for Asperger's Syndrome, probably because it is rather difficult to pronounce). I'm not going to list all of the diagnostic criteria for AS. You can find plenty of references through google.

AS is considered to be an "Autism Spectrum Disorder", meaning it is in the same family as Autism (Rain Man). There are other disorders in this spectum, that you can do web searches to find out about.

• My issues of overstimulation. Why I have to be alone, or why I can understand and implement complex computer systems, but can't organize papers on my desk.
